Medical Vision is a Swedish company founded in 2004 that leads the development in fl uid management in endoscopic surgery, to facilitate better visualization during surgeries. Through our arthroscopy pump, Double® Pump, we have the most advanced and sophisticated pump on the market, which leads to safer and shorter procedure as well as better patient outcomes.

Medical Vision develops, manufactures and markets both Double® Pump and the belonging disposable Cassettes as well as other accessories. We claim that proper fl uid management is essential to perform a successful arthroscopy in any joint in the body, therefore we strive to further expand the fl uid management segment and its importance during an arthroscopic surgery.

Through close collaboration with distributors and partners and most importantly the end users, we strive to continue to excel in the field of fluid management and further enhance and expand our product offering to best fit the needs of the operators and to other related fields within endoscopy.

Products
Double® Pump is an inflow and outflow pump that controls both pressure and flow of the fluids in the joint. The fluids are flushed through the joint for a number of reasons; firstly to keep the joint distended; secondly to flush away blood or debris and thirdly to manage the field of vision. Through patented algorithms, Double® Pump measures the true Intra Articular Pressure (IAP), which leads to a more precise control of the pressure in the joint. Through functions like SmartVision® - that automatically adjust the pressure and flow throughout the procedure, and Outflow Tracking™ - that assist in keeping the joint distended even when a Shaver is used, Double® Pump is in the forefront of the fluid management development.

In order to use Double® Pump, a number of different cassettes/tubings are used. The day cassette is used to get the fluids from the saline bag to the pump, controlling the inflow. The patient cassette is used to get the fluids from the joint to the waste, controlling the outflow. Double® Pump can also be used as an inflow only pump, and then a single tube is used.

Double® Pump can be interfaced to almost any Shaver system on the market, which leads to a more streamlined and effective procedure.
